BMW Ghost Immobiliser
The Ghost uses the CAN data bus to communicate with your vehicle. This prevents thieves from replacing the ECU or adding an additional lock to circumvent the security system.
In contrast to other immobilisers, unlike other immobilisers, the Ghost does not use LEDs or key fobs. It uses the buttons on your vehicle to let you to enter a unique sequence of disarming that you only know.
Stop & Start
If you have ever driven a brand new BMW or used the stop-start feature, then you might have noticed that once stopped the engine continues to run for about 30 seconds after releasing the brake pedal. The BMW engine management system continues to check the vehicle for a signal that comes from the ignition key. Once it finds this the vehicle will continue to run. Our BMW ghost immobiliser is an innovative next-generation device that does not require cutting OEM wires or adding an aftermarket alarms or key fobs. auto ghost immobiliser is connected to the BMW's CAN data network and is programmed with an encrypted, secure PIN code that is accessible via buttons that are installed in your car. This lets you enter key sequences that are not available in the normal menus for media. For instance volume up/down, source controls, cruise control, air conditioning and more. The PIN can range between 4 and 20 numbers and is therefore difficult for thieves to determine or crack.

Service Mode / Valet Mode
The Ghost is the most popular immobiliser available. It prevents your vehicle from being taken through key cloning or hacking. It uses the factory buttons of your vehicle to create a unique sequence of pushes that only you can identify. This is similar to the pin code security on your mobile phone. It's incredibly discreet and quiet, not to mention deterring even the most determined thieves from ever trying!
If you are parked at home or in a meet and greet situation In a meet and greet situation, the Ghost can be set to service mode, which allows you to start your car with your keys as normal but stops the engine from starting again unless the proper code is entered. This is a great option for those who have to hand their cars over to valet services or other trusted friends & family members. It also lets you take the car to the garage for repairs, maintenance etc without having to worry about it getting taken away or altered by a mechanic whilst you wait.
Once the service/valet mode is enabled, your BMW is unable to drive once it has been turned on. This stops anyone else from driving it while you are away. After you return, it will return to normal driving, stopping your car from being damaged or stolen again.

Anti-Hijack
Ghost created this subtle device that is obtrusive, and unobtrusive to fight the ever-increasing sophistication of high-tech thieves. It is designed to prevent thieves from acquiring a new key or replacing the ECU in order to start your vehicle and drive it away. Ghost connects to your CAN network and uses buttons on your vehicle to generate an individual push-sequence that has to be entered before your engine can start.
Once the anti-hijacking mode is activated, any attempt to restart the engine will be stopped. The system will hone the horn flashing the indicators, and stop the vehicle if the code is not found. By entering your push sequence or entering service mode, you can deactivate the Anti-Hijack function. This allows your vehicle to temporarily start without having to enter the PIN.
If you have a GPS device that is connected to your BMW it could be used to cancel the Anti-Hijack feature, so you can still use the navigation system inside your car even when the vehicle is parked unsupervised. You can also use your mobile phone to control the anti-theft feature as well as other functions.

The system lets you start your car by selecting drive, then leave the service mode without having to use your key fobs. You can also view your vehicle in real-time on a map using your smartphone, which is ideal to track your car while on the move.
The Ghost can be positioned under the dashboard, or in the center console. It is completely hidden, tamperproof, and does not need any additional wiring. The device is connected to CAN Data Network of the vehicle (similar to Ethernet cable) and a personal pin code is programmed into it. The pin code needs to be chosen prior to the engine's start. This stops thieves from using a cloned key or replacing the ECU to disable this system.
If the vehicle is being taken away, the Ghost will enter service mode and shut down all functions unless you have a PIN number or use the mobile application to disarm it. This feature was developed to safeguard your vehicle from high-tech thieves who utilize relay boxes to steal it. Ghost can also stop the 'Relay-style Frequency amplification'. This is the most frequent method of stealing a vehicle using a keyfob that's duplicated or stolen through hacking. Ghost enables you to prevent this by installing a security device to prevent theft in your vehicle, called Secure-A-Key. The device is installed inside the key-fob of your vehicle and shuts off its battery after a couple of inactive minutes. This can be accomplished with most modern PKE keys.
